When the air cools and the clouds are scattered in the sky, it's time to start up the oven. Warm up the house. The other thing about fall that I love is...
Cozy cuddles by a fire with hot chocolate and a soft blanket. Listening to classical music or jazz. Talking about whatever comes to mind. Sitting in silence, reading a book. Relaxing. When fall comes around I will be doing some of these things. Hopefully all of them. What do you think of the fall? Do you like the leaves? Are you a cuddle up by the fire person?
I, too, love the Fall. It is not quite here yet, but I've already made homemade soup twice. I wish I dared to make pies and sweet breads (I particularly like pumpkin bread), but we would eat them and we don't need those calories. So I will compromise and make them rarely and really enjoy them while they lat. Love the pix of the fall leaves. The colors are spectacular.

Thanks Vicki! Pumpkin Bread is my favorite too! Yummm :)
DeleteWe are enjoying an Indian summer in Washington. 80 degree days, day after day... so rare for us here in the rainy city. The maple tree outside my window is tinged with red. I CANT WAIT for it to be the vibrant red it gets. It is the view from my "studio" window. This is my first year in 30 years that I will not be working at a "real job" and can enjoy watching the seasons evolve. (a fellow flyer/circle buddy
ReplyDeleteHi Jean! I'm from Washington, too, and oh, do I miss the fall. (Enjoy that Indian Summer, though. Love those!).
DeleteI am now living vicariously through all of you, wishing for all those cinnamon smells, snuggly scarves, and boots.
Love the idea of writing a poem on a leave. I wonder if it will stick to a palm leaf...lol.
Jean I hope you are having a creative job those are the most fun! I would like to see the red leaves too!
DeleteBecky, I know writing a poem on a leaf is so cool. Maybe we could send you some in the mail?
Thanks for commenting :)
Oooh apple butter sounds delicious, we don't have that here in England. We are coming into autumn, the leaves are just on the turn and the temperature has dropped, it is my favourite season...at least until spring comes around again.
ReplyDeleteHi Judith,
DeleteApple Butter is the best! You'll have to try it sometime. My sister lives in England- Devon. Where do you live?
:)
