When I picked the word growth for this year I had no idea what was in store for me. Hoping it was in business I jumped right in.
In these past few months I have been in a whirlwind of changes. I have GROWN in so many ways, I must express it to you! We are expecting a new baby! My belly has grown a baby bump about 16 weeks old now. It's a miracle!

My husband wanted to have children when we got married two years ago. I was pregnant and miscarried, then six months later pregnant again and miscarried again. I think he gave up on having children with me thinking it wasn't going to happen. Then it happened! Miracle!! This one survived. It has been a roller coaster of emotions around this between both of us. On top of that I was so nauseous every strong smell made me sick, I was emotional and super sensitive. I couldn't eat hardly anything. Now I am past that sickness part. I am so happy to be able to eat whatever I want and smell all strong scents. We are past the scary part and the baby is strong and alive! She or he has a strong heart beat, growing every day. This is amazing. We will soon have a new baby to love and raise. A beautiful baby! October 10th is the due date.

With the baby coming we have decided to close the shop. I am in the process of moving crafts, beads, and such out of The Cozy Craft Corner. I have emptied out drawers, sold my jewelry cheap, and am in the process of giving back and selling the furniture. I painted a large long painting to say goodbye. Using Flora Bowley's way of letting go and getting the feelings out in the paint, while using different ways of painting. I used a huge long brush in this part to make the rain look, squirted paint from the tube, used bubble wrap, paint brushes and splattered paint. This is my favorite section of the painting. It is very long and this picture is of the middle.

Here is a picture of the entire painting made at The Cozy Craft Corner.

So now is the time to figure out how to make my creative dreams real even though the shop is gone. My daughter brings inspiration to me all the time. She was face painting other children at the Earth Day Festival for free. Just for fun. Someone came up and told me if she really likes this she could have a career as a face painter and she can pay her way through collage with it. She was excited and wanted to try it out. I used to do face painting for the children for Family Fun Day at my old job. It was s o much fun! I love to see the happiness it brings the children! So, I looked into it a bit. There is a woman in Sacramento who teaches it and I will take her class to learn more. Then I was on FB yesterday and one of my artist friends had made a flyer for her "coolage parties" she calls them. This struck a note with me. I love parties! Earlier this month my cousin said I should have jewelry parties. So the universe is telling me something! Start a party business. I had a few successful parties at The Cozy Craft Corner. I have a list of cool children's parties because I wanted to do those a while ago. Guess what? I can do both Adult and Children's Parties! Yes another business opportunity is surfacing! It's a great idea.

I decided to call it "Fun and Creative Parties"
I am working on a sub domain on The Cozy Craft Corner web site. My creativity will go on and I will always be inspired!

I am excited to keep my Mixed Media Group going. We have all bonded and have a creative community of Artists now. This I strive for. A positive social group of creative artists. We are going on field trips and are looking for different places to have our meetings. I look forward to meeting every week with them for as long as possible.

Have a wonderful day!

Love, Chandra

Here is a positive thought's blog you might like, I know I do!

Positive change will happen in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over, instead of craving control over the uncontrollable.

No matter what happens, YOU control what the meaning is, and what to do with the meaning you give to the circumstances around you.

If you are sad about what's going on in your life right now, pause and just remember one permanent fact ,everything changes, and tomorrow might be different. However ...continue reading http://positive-thoughts.typepad.com/

7th Bead Soup Blog Party Reveal!

I received these great beads, a lovely copper hand made owl, a ceramic handmade round bead, a beautiful purple stone and a nice handmade clasp and my imagination went crazy! There was so much I didn't know where to start. Charlie really sent a great package of yummy goodness! The first thing I did was take out the purple stone because it's my favorite color and I love wire wrapping. I wanted to try this wrap that goes on both sides so I could make a bracelet. I added some of my own beads in the purple color and wire wrapped them together added some cotton string and my own handmade clasp. Here it is...

The next step was to use the focal point bead in this case the owl. I decided to use my died hemp string to tie it up adding the striking green beads in that Charlie sent, I love the way the copper contrasts with the green! Charlie sent a few of these great pink and copper glass leaf beads but I wanted to make a nest of sorts with more so I bought some in the green colored ones and wire wrapped them in a circle with the blood stone tiny beads she sent. Here it is...

I strung some small goldstone copper beads I had together with the green chunky stones Charlie sent then continued on with the bright green beads and leaves I had left over connecting them to the clasp.

I wire wrapped the very cool ceramic bead with some copper and the bright green bead along with some little dark green flat beads I had. Connecting this to the clasp and the hemp string.

And she came together beautifully!

I had such a great time putting these beads and focal pieces together! Thanks for putting this together with all your heard work Lori!!!! And a special thanks goes out to Charlie Jacka at Clay Space who made and sent me this wonderful soup!!!
