Kaylee has challenged Artists to create 100 pieces of art of a small size and of the same materials. Here is mine.
I have chosen to work with watercolor and paint birds on book paper. The paper is then wrapped around recycled cardboard tissue boxes. The size is 5x5.
I challenged myself with watercolor because I have not worked with it much. I need to do more with it. Unfortunately it does not like book paper so much. I have done a few on watercolor paper and that is totally different. After this challenge I will have to challenge myself to work on watercolor paper.
Lovely to see you again!

I just put my hand to the paper and see what happens. So much these days I enjoy this long swirly doodle it's a line then a swirl and another line and a swirl. I take it all over the paper. I let go and feel the shapes form. It's good to do when you feel stuck.
Dragonflies and Swirls
Thanks for visiting hope to see ya again!

I personally am not a big fan of dream catchers. But I was so inspired by the awesome spirit of Rachael Rice! She is amazing, down to earth and cool!
So I tried.
I guess collage under every piece of art work is a popular theme for this year. It has been so far. I love collage but like I said before I like it just the way it is. Painting and drawing over collage is hard for me. I understand it adds depth to the piece. It is starting to grow on me.
I enjoyed this lesson so much I made a card too! I gave it to my Mom for her Birthday.
Tam also had a fun lesson painting a feather. I do love feathers! This was fun. I enjoyed letting the collage show. I even found in the book paper the word feather I accidentally painted the feather over it though. I like the swirls and the colors. I added a little purple around the edges.
Have a feathery day!
